Catholic Footsteps Seeks New Board Members

Catholic Footsteps is a Michigan-based non-profit organization that provides students and their families with the opportunity to explore the beauty, power, and breadth of the Catholic faith through small group travel experiences to Italy and the Vatican. Our organization is looking for community members to join its board of directors and help further its mission.

As a board member of Catholic Footsteps, you will play an essential role in the success and growth of the organization. The board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization, as well as providing financial oversight, and ensuring the organization operates in a legal and ethical manner.

To be an effective board member, there are several key characteristics that are important to possess.

Passion for the Catholic faith: Board members should have a strong passion for the Catholic faith and a deep commitment to its teachings and values.
Strategic thinking: Board members should be able to think strategically and have the ability to help make decisions that will benefit the organization.
Time: Board members should have the time to devote to the organization, including periodic online or in-person meetings, with advance notice.

As a board member of Catholic Footsteps, you will have several key responsibilities, including:

Participating in 4 annual board meetings.
Approving the organization’s on-going strategic plan.
Overseeing the financial stability of the organization.
Representing the organization in the community and promoting its mission and programs.
Participating in fundraising efforts.
